As we know different shapes of faces must be taken into consideration when giving clients their hair cut/style. Sam Villa breaks down how someone with a round face can still have fringe and how stylists can manipulate that cut. “Eyes tend to be drawn horizontally when looking at a round face, so I suggest having fringe cut shorter in the middle and longer on the sides. This camouflages width and draws eyes vertically, which elongates the face,” explains Villa.
Villa also suggests using a comb instead of a brush when drying fringe because it gets closer to the scalp and provides more tension to control natural texture and redirect erratic growth patterns.
