Problem: Inconsistent results

Solution: Clean spray gun more thoroughly

An unclean gun is the number reason for blotchy, uneven tanning.  Many clients say they clean their guns with water after every application, but that’s not enough. Every 15 to 20 sprays, a spray gun must be taken apart to expose the needle to be cleaned properly,” explains Jacques.  “But don’t worry, you don’t have to be skilled with tools to do this simple 5 minute cleaning - it’s easy!” adds Jacques who offers the following guidelines:

How to Properly Clean a Spray Gun

•Unscrew the locking collar (the black ring and silver cap) on the business side of the gun and take the cap off to expose the nozzle nut

•Unscrew the nozzle nut with a crescent or adjustable wrench to expose the needle which is secured in a needle nut

•Flush hot water in and around the needle and needle nut

•Hold needle nut up to the light to make sure dust and/or solution is not trapped

•Reassemble gun

Note: The best spray guns have stainless steel needles, plastic needles deliver inconsistent results and wear out more quickly.
