We asked Hair Room Service Founder and CEO Michael Dueñas what this fabulous service was all about.
YBI: What is Hair Room Service and what do you offer clients?
MD: Hair Room Service is an exclusive service that brings top-notch fashion experts straight to the client’s door. Hair Room Service offers clients the ability to have red carpet hair, any dress they desire, flawless makeup, the nails of any celebrity they choose, and their own personal glam squad!
YBI: What’s your most requested service?
MD: HRS’s most requested service would be blowouts, which I must say, are phenomenal.
YBI: What gave you the idea to create Hair Room Service?
MD: I was traveling, and upon checking into my hotel, a guest approached the concierge and asked where she could go to get her hair blowout. The concierge was at a loss for recommendations, so I offered my services. That is when it hit me, a void that needed to be filled.
YBI: How did you build your team? What do you look for in your team members?
MD: I built my team from trusted colleagues and strong recommendations, plus, very impressive resumes. What I look for in team members is the eagerness to grow, market and sell the company as a whole. You must have a strong resume and a flexible schedule; you never know what will be thrown your way!
YBI: What’s the most challenging aspect of on-location only services?
MD: Assuring the client that they will have a better experience then any salon may offer. We just remind them of all their favorite celebrities, and the fact they all have hair and makeup done at home.
YBI: What do you find most rewarding in what you do?
MD: When a client smiles, and is truly elated with what they have experienced. It reassures me that I have done the right thing. I have given someone that celebrity experience they never thought possible. It can really change someone’s outlook on life. I just want to spread joy though my work.
YBI: What’s next for Michael Dueñas and HRS?
MD: The next big step for my self and HRS is growth. My ideal plan is to be in every major city, providing top-notch beauty consultants, with our own products to go hand in hand with services.
