YBI: How did you get your start?
DR: I started off doing makeup at cosmetic counters in department stores.

YBI: How did brow shaping become a focus for you?
DR: Before starting a client’s makeup, I would always shape their brows and that’s how I realized that eyebrows are the single most important underestimated feature on the Damone Robertsface.

YBI: Why is it so important for women to go to a professional for their eyebrows?
DR:  Eyebrows frame your face. Therefore, you should only trust a professional to shape your brows in to the perfect frame for your face.

YBI: How do you balance your schedule and time between multiple bi-coastal salons?
DR: I’m very fortunate to run successful salons on either coast of the country. I spend most of my time in Beverly Hills but try to get out to New York every 4-6 weeks.

YBI: What are some of the qualities that you look for in your team and staff?
DR: Dependability, honesty and creativity. I call it ‘The A game”!

YBI: Tell us about your line of products and tools.
DR: I created my product line after years of not being satisfied with what was out on the market. I personally tested each and every product before final approval and am positive they are the best brow maintenance products available.

YBI: Do you think social networking sites such as Facebook have had a positive or negative effect on the professional beauty industry?
DR: I believe they have a 100% positive effect because they allow you to reach a vast network of individuals with different incomes and lifestyles in one common outlet.
