Season 2 of the competitive makeup series Face Off premieres Wednesday January 11th on the Syfy channel. The elimination show that poses artistic challenges will not only showcase the skills of many talented artists, it will also give one grand prize winner $100,000 and a unique career opportunity.
Host McKenzie Westmore will lead 13 contestants through elaborate challenges ranging from special effects makeup, prosthetics, 3-D design, sculpting, eye enhancers, casting and molding. The panel of expert judges including three-time Academy Award winner Ve Neill, Glenn Hetrick, Patrick Tatopoulos and celebrity guests will eliminate one contestant each week until one victorious artist remains.
Face Off contestants are chosen from all over the United States and there level of expertise varies from novice to elite. Season 1 winner Connor McCullagh, resident of Apopka Florida, discovered his passion for art at age 16. After working under Academy Award winner John Caglione Jr. for 14 years McCullagh decided to divert his makeup talent to teaching at the Joe Blasco Makeup School. Since winning Face Off McCullagh has retired from teaching and is pursuing many new career opportunities.
