NEWS: Shiseido Announces Jennifer Connelly as Spokesperson

As Shiseido Co., Ltd. celebrates its 140th anniversary, the company announced that it has signed Academy Award-winning actress, Jennifer Connelly, who previously represented the company in Asia. Connelly will be the namesake brand's global spokesperson and face of its premium skincare line Future Solution LX. Connelly's first advertising campaign as global spokesperson will debut this fall.

"I am honored to be working with Shiseido again and to be representing the Future Solution LX line globally," said Jennifer Connelly. "Like Shiseido, I believe it is important to prepare now for our future well being. I look forward to sharing my journey with Future Solution LX with women worldwide."

NEWS: New Warnings for Brazilian Blowouts

California's Attorney General announced that the company behind the popular line of hair-straightening products Brazilian Blowout has agreed to alert consumers that two of their products emit formaldehyde gas, a possible carcinogen. Bottles of Brazilian Blowout will no longer be labeled as "formaldehyde-free".

The labeling changes are in part an attempt to settle a lawsuit the state filed in November against the company that makes Brazilian Blowout products.

Beyonce A new ad promoting Beyonce's latest album surfaced today and the internet exploded with accusations of skin-lightening.

This isn't the first time that photos of Beyonce have been criticized for her skin appearing lighter than its actual shade. In 2008 L'Oreal came under fire and was accused of lightening Beyonce's skin in a Feria ad. This time around the world wants to know- photoshop to lighten Beyonce's skin or is it just lighting?
